The Cannondale Perp 1 2 and 3 are cannondales response to the tuck it and huck it freeride bike. The top of the line bike in the series is the cannondale perp 1. The Perp 1 has a tough as nails aluminum frame that can take almost any hit This bike is meant for the rider to huck it as large as they desire. The cannodale perp 1 is the burliest of the three bikes and has the highest price tag and nicest parts. If you can afford it, it doesn't get much nicer then the perp 1 for terrain that will cause other bikes to snap in half. The perp 2 and 3 have the same frame but crappier part sets to keep the costs down . For the casual to aggressive rider, very little diffrence could be found between the perp 2 and 3 in ride quality. The main diffrence would be the lowered weight of the perp 2 compared to the greater weight of 3. If I were on a budget looking to purchase a great freeride bike, i would put 3 in the range of the mid range kona bikes like the stinky deeluxe . I would rather purchase the perp 2 or 3 then the Kona stinky though because the stinky deelux is boring . Everyone and their aunt owns a kona stinky deeluxe. Don't you want to have a little fun and interest to your life? Dont you want to own the cannondale perp 1 2 or 3?
